JULY 2026 SULLYGRAM:
How long is a cosmic moment? Is there such a thing irrespective of one
planet or another rotating next to a star? For sure, time is arbitrary and can
only be measured relative to itself. But here on Earth, Jesus Christ’s birthday
gets 24 hrs of celebration, ditto honoring soldiers who gave their lives for
America, the Presidents are lumped into one day, while mothers and fathers also
get one day; but then we have Pride Month. MONTH. Meanwhile, our 4th
of July is doomed to a one-day contentious birthday party with our radical Left
pissing in the punch, if you don’t mind a clumsy metaphor for the Reflection
Pool and all the 86-47s, and the “free Palestine from the river to the sea”
graffiti and Nazi swastikas on the Lincoln Memorial. Maybe America’s birthday
needs an official month. In fact, that month thing for Pride and all its
iterations resonating through culture and sports prompts me to make a parity suggestion
for our polarized national factions.
Instead of sniping, sabotage, treason and gridlock,
perhaps the road to civility is better paved by dedicating each month to a
different form of government. We can’t convert the mechanisms of governance
each month, of course, but we can audition each for what it offers just like we
audition Pride Month – big screen prime time, different flags, parades,
T-shirts. Call it “America’s Got Tolerance.” We could keep July for our waning
representative democracy, our constitutional federal republic. That’s one more
day than the thirty days for Pride Month, but who’s counting? Then we have
eleven more months for eleven more forms of government. Twelve shots ought to
cover most of it.
August, for instance, could go to the Socialists who
are scoring big-time wins with official Democrat Party endorsements for the
mid-terms. It’s not just Left coast mega blue sanctuary cities like Los
Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle, or Chicago and Minneapolis in the
Midwest, or Mamdani now in New York City with his three successful
Congressional candidates and 9 out of 10 wins overall. No reason for anyone to
shake their heads in disbelief anymore. Generations of classroom indoctrination
and cultural/media reinforcement are turning American elections Left even while
Europe struggles to escape Socialism and floods of unmanaged immigration. Add
South America to those who have learned the hard way about Socialism’s failed
economics. That continent recently flipped eight Left-wing liberal governments
to the conservative Right (Peru, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay,
and trending in Bolivia and Venezuela). But here in the United States, Socialists
are harnessing Democrat donkeys all over the map, including Party endorsements
in Pennsylvania (Chris Rabb), Colorado (Melat Kiros), Florida (Oliver Larkin),
the return of Cori Bush in Missouri etc. and wherever radical Progressives thrive.
So, let’s give August to the Socialists.
On to September! The jaws of Communism inevitably reap
the harvests of creeping Socialism as they are unabashedly doing for our vocal
radical Left, but before they clamp shut, they must first cut down free-market
culture and Capitalism. So, maybe the month of September should coalesce around
a bonified hater of all things American. The ever-increasing Squad in-House offers
some possibilities as AOC may run for President, but Ilhan Omar’s alleged
Somali fraud connections and marriage to her brother to gain entry may see her
booted out of the U.S. However, I could imagine an upgrade for someone like Darializa
Avila Chevalier who just won the Democrat primary in New York. She’s a shoe-in from
a very blue Congressional district. Chevalier has called for abolishing police
and prisons, and helped lead the Columbia University campus protests against
Israel in a group that calls for “Death to America.” She also bragged in a
Tweet that once when she couldn’t find a napkin, she wiped her hand on an
American flag. Can’t hate America any more than that. And if that isn’t enough,
far-out Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders campaigned for her.
October? Lemme see, I’ve already penciled in America
to celebrate its 250-year success story for July, but August and September inspire
a third and final matured ideology for Progressive Liberals. Socialism, Communism
and Marxism are a natural troika. In classic Marxism, Socialism is
transitional to Communism (the ultimate collective where government owns
everything). The terms are most often re-ordered in translation to the West,
however. And so, I’ll suggest a smooth segue into theoretical Marxism last for
October. In any order, we might as well let the radical Left have its
three-month run up to the November elections, since the dominant Liberal media
will do that anyway. How about Halloween hand-out month resurrecting Kamala Harris
for Trick-or-Treat? Her father is the emeritus pillar of Marxism at Standford
University, boasted by The Stanford Daily itself as “a radical Marxian
economist.” And hallowed magazine The Economist (founded 1843) called him a
“combative Marxist economist” and the model for Kamala’s frequent “word
salads.”
I guess November’s mid-terms will write their own
auto-bio, if the elections aren’t tainted. The first four months that I’ve
suggested here pose an absolutely existential question mark as big as our Civil
War in these times of radical drift. Hard to believe that the country whose
Twin Towers came down on 9-11, elected a Muslim mayor to that same city a
couple decades later. But then, freedom includes the freedom to surrender one’s
freedom. Perhaps that explains why only 14% of Democrats say they are proud to
be American while the number for Republicans is 70%. Meanwhile, visiting soccer
fans from all over the world say they are awed by the U.S. and that their media
lied to them.
Hence, here comes November with an outcome To Be
Determined. The Halloween costume trifecta of Socialism-Communism-Marxism is
hospice care for freedom and incentive-based free markets (e.g. no need for
individuality, the government will take care of you like a social insect). Will
we still be, as Benjamin Franklin answered Elizabeth Willing Powel when she asked
what kind of government we had as he came out of Constitution Hall in 1787: “…a
Republic, if you can keep it, Madam!” Or will we be into the grid-lock days
marking an end to foundational America?
I leave the final eight months of the annual calendar
to your discretion. Will our fate follow the likes of Elizabeth Warren’s
endorsement of a Graham Platner? Will we be hijacked by the madness of
antisemitism becoming a cancer of the soul as it did a century ago in Nazi
Germany? Will AI slip seamlessly into control like a shadow in a coming night?
Will an unassimilated theocracy step into the feckless vacuum of a society that
can’t even define gender, crime or borders? Will UAPs (UFOs) reveal themselves
as alien observers and conquer/unite [choose one] our species?
Your call.
…and that said, I post this
as a single island on my single Timeline. Not inviting political discussions,
partisan rants or TDS. You almost certainly have your narratives, and I’ll
respect your opinions on your Timelines. Jump up and down there if you need to.
And thanks to those who follow me here or off-channel. Finally, I’m posting
July’s Sullygram early to more closely align with the 4th of July. I’m
going to a party. I understand you’re invited too, so maybe I’ll see you there.
Hope you don’t blow out the candles. Hope you think objectively and carefully
free of all the dominant media and make a wish. Happy Birthday!
